Surface influence on the stationary shear deformation of a magnetorheological fluid

Abstract The study experimentally examines the quasi-static shear deformation of a magnetorheological (MR) fluid structured in an external magnetic field. Experiments are carried out using rheometer with plate–plate configuration. working surfaces measuring geometry modified to demonstrate their influence on response field-structured MR fluid. simplest possible suspension microparticles carbonyl iron mineral oil without surfactants or any modifiers is used. difference results obtained for different concentrations particles modifications surface demonstrated. intended motivate more intensive research issue and further in-depth theoretical analysis static elastic properties fluids.
